Past Campaigns - Project Harmony
Project Harmony is a child advocacy center based in Omaha, Nebraska, whose mission is to protect and support children, collaborate with professionals, and engage the community to end child abuse and neglect.
From 2014 until 2021, I managed Project Harmony’s social media, providing ongoing content, reporting, and profile management. Together, we expanded their social platform usage, grew their total social footprint, and delivered ongoing messaging that educated the public about child abuse & neglect, their programs & initiatives, and ways to get involved. In 2021, we “graduated” them from outsourced social media management when they created their first internal social media manager position. The following are examples of our content from 2018 - to 2021.
“Corrie is great! She listens and makes recommendations that make sense for her clients, and she uses her coaching skills to help structure strategy in a meaningful way. I was truly blessed to have her as an extension of my team. Corrie helped us grow our organic reach through our social channels which contributed to greater awareness and support for our organization. I highly recommend her if you are looking for additional assistance, guidance or ready to elevate your social footprint.” - Angela Roeber, Senior Director of Communications at Project Harmony
Child Abuse Education & WAYS to take action
Project Harmony’s mission aims to end child abuse and neglect. Throughout their social media messages, they weave themes of educating adults on how to be aware of child abuse & neglect - and what to do when they suspect something. Below are four message samples we utilized in 2020 & 2021 to help educate adults.
Be Someone Day
In 2017, Project Harmony created “Be Someone Day.” Held annually on July 21, Project Harmony challenges adults to take the pledge to Be Someone in a child’s life. This day focuses on educating adults about the signs of child abuse & neglect and giving them the tools to report abuse. The following are four posts from Be Someone Day 2021, which encouraged adults to take the pledge and drove donations for Project Harmony.
Trauma Matters Omaha
In 2018, Project Harmony launched “Trauma Matters Omaha,” a community-wide initiative that focused on training the Omaha community to recognize & respond to trauma. To support this initiative, we worked with Project Harmony to create ongoing messages to educate the community about trauma, encourage community-focused action and provide support for those experiencing trauma. Below are four sample messages that exemplify this approach.
A quick note
I’d be remiss if I didn’t tell you that, after 8 years of working with Project Harmony, child abuse and neglect have become subjects near and dear to my heart. If you would like to learn more about how adults can be more proactive in dealing with child abuse & neglect issues, I encourage you to visit www.projectbesomeone.org, take the pledge and view their educational resources!
